To turn them back on, try holding your ALT key and click somewhere on the screen. This should restore access to them again. Or try closing Firefox and try restarting it in safe mode. This will work if you’ve also added plugins or extensions that are giving you grief.

Google recently updated the look & feel of their image search. Once you click on an image, instead of framing the source website, you see the image front and center like a Polaroid picture. Meanwhile the source page is displayed behind the image with a grey-ed out tinge to it.

Stale NFS file handle with child nfs mounts

The usual fix for this is to re-export or restart nfs services from the server side. You could try unmount -f to force the mount point to unmount or reboot the client. It gets harder when multiple users are online. If someone has a home directory or a remote shell open using a directory under the nfs mount root, good luck fixing it on the fly. The worst situation is where two NFS file systems are mounted in a parent-child relationship.
